We have to remember that the Mountain of Montserrat has been burned a couple times, maybe the worst was in 1986 when fire burned it 75% of the surface of the mountain and in 1994.
Mountain pass of Baranes (Km 3.5)
At this point we will see another sign post, we follow the detour on south-westerly direction going up the mountain and following pipes that come from Montserrat.
The vegetation becomes a bit thicker and the sand track turns into a path made by cement stone stairs that will make us the path easy and more bearable. The the top is about 15-20 minutes.
Montserrat (Km 4.5)
The road leads to a crossing of paths
leading to the Santa Cova or the Monastery of Montserrat.
We will continue towards the Monastery for the wide cement path that passes through the station and the funicular cable car that goes to the Santa Cova.
We will walk across the Square and the rise of the Cruz (Cross) until we reach the Square of Santa Maria, where its located the Monastery of Montserrat in case you want to see the Virgin of Montserrat, the Moreneta commonly known by the black color of his face and hands, and the infant Jesus.
Next to this square is the Square of Abat Oliba, our route ends here, but who wants can continue and start at this point others interesting routes that will lead to different shrines located at the
top of the mountain such as San Miguel,
San Jeroni ... and can enjoy the incredible
views from this mountain.

Waw pardal impresiona molt aquesta ruta... el que no m'ha quedat clar es si es només per escaladors o per tots els públics... es comença des de el monestir de montserrat?
