Ruta St. Fost - Alella
Description Route
Thrid routes that can be performed in the Sierra de Marina, is the most complete of the three routes and the most takes up most of the Sierra.
It is also a cyclical route and has in common with the other routes the same departure point, St. Fost of Campsentelles, in turn differs in passing very near Alella, is a route with more uneven and somewhat longer.
Since most travel is common, only describing the different parts.
Cerro Galzeran 1
If we have done the other routes, we can almost always see that all detours leading to main road in one way or another, or some place in which we can situate, so it's difficult to get lost. The first part is common with Hill Galzeran route, so we will continue along this path until we reach the first deflection at our right, at about two kilometres from the start, and therefore, we will leave the common path of the two routes.
This new path has less difficulty than the one that leads to Hill Galzeran, having
Cerro Galzeran 1
less unevenness, but both take us to the same destination. Both routes lead again just before reaching the vineyards, in the way that addresses the Conreria. When our path leads to the Conreria, we will have to turn left.
Cerro Galzeran 1
We can see from here the Tower of Galzeran and the vineyards.
Once we get to the vineyards we continue straight through, leaving behind the path that climbs throught the vineyards and leading to the Tower Surveillance Galzeran.
The road will begin serpent surrounding the mountain and leading us near the village Alella. Before reaching that village the path will turn left and rejoin the main road from the second route (see Castellruf's Castle) that goes ner the Fountain Gurri.
The next part of the trail that goes to the Castle Castellruf is common. Once at the castle, we continue straight without deviating from the path, leaving behind the deflection to the Dolmen therefore will not be visited on this route, and brings us closer to the quarry.
The landscape here is not so nice and there are far fewer trees and shrubs. We will go down the road beside the quarry that leads to a group of houses on the outsides of St. Fost of Campsentelles, we will have to leave our track and step into the asphalt again, althought for a short time, the time it takes to walk only about 250 meters.
At the end of the street we will see we can continue with another track that leave us near the latest part of the trail, but not before climbing up the slope we have done. When the road goes into the main road, we will take the right hand side, that will lead us to the end of our route.
