It’s a circular route that begins and ends in Vielha, with 103 Km of journey and 9480 m of accumulated heigh difference. It crosses three mountain pass: The Coll de Guerri (2.320 m) communicates the “Valle de Toran” with the lakes of Liat in the area named as Miner Territory of “Val d’Aran. The Puerto de Rius (2.340 m) , It’s the former route of transhumance and area where you find the biggest lakes od the Aran as the “Estany de Mar” and “Rius”. The Puerto de Vielha (2.442 m) is the culmínating point of the route. It’s a natural step loaded of history of the Aran and of the Pyrenees.
The itinerary travels around largely, the path of grand trail GR211 and it has been designed based on 5 stages so It can be done in less or more time as you want it. The route goes in the direction of the hands of watch in function of a better technical development for the user. The route always goes for traced trail without any step of technical difficulty.
STAGE 1: Vielha - Bossòst
Exit of Vielha for the GR 211 towards Vilac. Mont, Montcorbau, Betlan,
Aubert, Arròs, Pont d’Arròs, Begós, Vilamòs, Arró, Era Bordeta, Bossòst. Distance: 22 Km. Height difference: 737 m + 1.046 m – Estimated time: Of 6 to 7 hours. Interests: The villages for where it passes the path, their churches and Cultural patrimony. There is a fantastic view of the Aneto and Maladeta from Vilamòs.
STAGE 2: Bossòst - Honeria Refuge (Valle de Torán)
Of Bossòst towards Les. Pontaut, Canejan, Porcingles, San Juan de Toran, Refugi de l’ Honeria. Distancia: 16,5 Km. Desnivel: 635 m + 315 m. – Estimated time: Of 5 to 6 hours. Interests: This stage is a period of transition that it takes us to the magnify “Valle de Toran”, at Taro Square and at Thermals in Les. The views of the plain in Bossòst and in Les from Canejan.
STAGE 3: Honeria Refuge - Salardú
This is the queen stage of all tour.
Your longitude, height difference and beautiful converts it in a great mountain stage
From the refuge, you go on the GR211 up to the “Pla de Grauers” and “Coth de Guerri”. Liat Refuge, Pla de Tor, Borda era Lana, Bagergue, Salardú. Distance: 27 Km. Height difference: 1.305 m. + 1.057 m. - Estimated time: Of 7 to 8 hours. Interests:The ascent to the “Pla de Grauers” for a primary forest with beechs centennial. The “Gorja de Herme” and the
faces of the “Tuc de Herme”. The traces remain of the mining exploitation in Guerri and Liat.
