In order to visit the hospital it is recommended to enter by the main Entrance, where it can be seen the statue made to Pau Gil.
If we turned ourselves from here we will be able to see a magnificent view, of the Sacred Family, constructed by Gaudí,
it can be seen at the end of the stroll.
At the entrance its situated the administration Pavilion.
This building remembers a church with the Tower of the Clock in the middle.
In addition it contains most of symbols of the Christian tradition. Its emphasize in the main facade three sculptures made by
Pau Gargallo, that represent the three virtues that approach the man to God:
the Faith, the Hope and the Charity. Domènech in addition adds one fourth, the Act, that is to say, the responsibility of the own acts.
In this pavilion we will be able to find the visiting rooms of the urgency patients as well as the point of information of the Hospital.
Underneath this pavilion are the passages and urgency rooms .
If we watch the ceiling, we will be able to see different symbols, from the date of its construction to the shield of the hospital.
If we pay attention we will be able to see the initials P and G, that are distributed by all the pavilions of the Hospital.
These letters correspond to the initials of Pau Gil like a clear gratefulness to who helped on
the creation of the hospital economically.
If we cross the pavilion, we will be in the middle of the gardens and the surgery pavilion.
We will see also 4 pavilions more, constructed at each side of the garden.
The surgery pavilion connects with all the pavilions by
means of underground galleries. Thus it is possible to move the patients from his rooms to the operating rooms on a fast way or to
give them the necessary cures. In the North facade of the pavilion the three crystal apses can be found corresponding to the
three operating rooms that are still in use in current time.
