Route of easy difficulty and with a great beauty, you can do it with children. It is one of the most popular excursions in the Valley of Benasque and therefore there are more peoble.
The route starts at Plan del Hospital, we will take the detour to this place and leave the car in a public park, where we will have the information booth of the park and the bus stop which helps us to carry out part of the route if we want.
These buses take you to the Refuge Renclusa in Besurta at the end of the valley and in the middle of the Posets-Maladeta Natural Park, saving about 5 km on foot but we will loose part of the landscape. Depending on the season (not in August) you can go to the parking Besurta by your own car, but on other seasons you will have to leave it at parking of Plan del Hospital.
Parking Plan del Hospital (Km. 0)
We will go this way along small roads that cross the wide prairie towards Besurta.
Will have at our left the Peaks Sacreux, Glera and Montañeta (described in the path of Ibon (Glacier lake) Gorgutes) and at our right, the shadow of the impressive Massif of Maladeta with the famous Aneto Peak(3404 m).
We will walk through the valley, helped by several planks of wood that will help us to move on the wetlands of the prairie. Once we crossed the river Esera we will follow the direction that a post of information indicates to the route Besurta Forau of Aiguallut, where we went, leaving at our left the hand path which goes to Portillon Benas Salbaguardia.
We will climb a small hill on a path of half a meter in width following the red and white marks. Once we've done this we will see a sign that informs us that from this point is showed the Paderna Canal Avalanche where these avalanches of
Paderna create an avalanche corridor or channel, preventing the forest grows.
We follow the red and white markings, we are in the Colladeta dels Aranese, from here we can appreciate extensive green meadows that make us go into to Ibonet of Pllan of the l'Estañ, filling a large lake.
Ibonet of Pllan of the l'Estañ (Km. 2.5)
This lake continues forming when there are days with heavy rains. It was formed after the withdrawal of the glacier, formed with the help of rocks and sand, which brings the rivers. From this point at our right we can see a cave used during the Bronze Age.
Just at the height of the Ibonet, we will see a boundary post, we will continue towards The Besurta and the Refuge of Renclusa we are approximately 25 minutes way off. The post also indicates the path to Portillon of Benasque, along the GR 10 - France. This is a junction point of the route, because once we have reached our destination if we want to come back doing a little detour and admire the nature for other sides other than the way we are going, we will have to link the current path at this point, wich is the the final stretch of
